Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals--mostly dogs--since I was 10, including volunteering at a local animal shelter, PetCo, and a veterinary hospital and have always had fur babies as a family member. Neighbors and friends have relied on me to feed, bathe, walk, and care for their pets when out of town. Currently, we have a golden retriever that will be a year in December 2023, goats, a bunny, chickens, and fish that are our extended family in our home. Our children love dogs and actively play and take them on walks as well.
Reviews
Our pup is having a great time in Katie’s home, he is now having a new best friend Blue!
Thanks again, Katie & Michael, for caring for Tanner. I hope he gave you some snuggles since he didn't feel 100% today.
Phoebe was so happy to be back with the fam this week! She sure did miss you guys!
Katie and her family were wonderful with our 8- year- old rat terrier mix, Maggie. We were very happy with her care and could tell she was very happy with them. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter;

Availability
We just joined Rover in mid-August 2023, and have been grateful to the lovely families that have trusted us with their loved ones. We are honored you are considering us for care. Are we a good fit for your family? -Currently, we have very flexible hours (with some families doing drop offs between 3AM-6AM) and we aren’t charging extra for days lasting longer than 10-12 hours like some doggy daycares. -We do have three daughters, so we are best suited for dogs that love kids -We try to maintain a range of 4-6 dogs, being thoughtful about breeds and sizes, so please reach out as we are learning Rover doesn’t always block us out when we are at capacity. We do this to ensure we can provide individual care for each dog, plus allow them to enjoy the company of their peers. -Between our two work schedules, someone is usually home. We provide lots of time outside on our property which is a fully fenced acre. -We use distraction, re-direction, positive verbal and physical praise to work with dogs. We believe that play is important to learning. -Dogs get to roam freely in the lot, with fresh, clean water available in multiple locations. The goats, chickens, and bunny have their own areas fenced off. -We have a small, medium, and large crate available for usage. We prefer to keep the crates open and have them mostly for comfort for dogs that are crate trained and want an area to go rest. If your dog isn’t crate trained, that’s ok too, we have dog beds and multiple areas to lounge. Please also bring any items to make your dog’s stay comfortable like a favorite toy or blanket. -We are comfortable with any additional health and hygiene routines like administering medicine, including injections. A schedule (roughly) looks like: 7 am: morning feeding 8-11 am: outside play 11-1 pm: nap time 1-4pm: outside play and explore 5 pm: dinner 8 pm: bedtime -We do ask to do a meet and greet to make sure that we are a good fit. We look that your pup is comfortable at our place, with us, and our golden. We also want to hear about any special routines or considerations. -We are happy to send photos of your loved one while in our care as well. We are excited to welcome your family member to our little oasis.
