Katie and Jared have a combined experience of 44 years with dogs of all kinds. Katie grew up with dogs her entire life. In high school she took care of the neighborhood pets when neighbors left town while also helping with the dogs in her own home. When she went to college she became activity involved with AARF, a local dog rescue, where she met her first foster fail, Polly. Polly and Katie have been inseparable since and have helped rescue and rehome two dogs while Katie was in college. Polly had a grand adventure of having bunny, hamster, and gerbil siblings in college. Jared was raised with his childhood buddy, Lilly. When he left for college and then was deployed he really felt the void of not having a furry buddy. So when he moved back to Virginia and met Katie and Polly he fell instantly for Polly (and Katie). After moving in together Katie and Jared quickly added Athena to their pack. Together the four of them enjoy walks, hikes, and car rides to get treats! Outside of our doggy experience Katie is a photographer and art teacher, and Jared works for the county. Together they have great training skills and flexible/unique schedules.
