Pet care experience
Hi I’m Katie! I am looking to make extra money while also working my full time job! I previously worked as a vet tech (no longer work as a vet tech) at an animal rehabilitation clinic where I worked with dogs & cats everyday (& the occasional chicken lol)! I went to school for 4 years studying for my vet tech degree and got a job as a vet tech pretty much right out of college. I have years of experience in the vet tech/medical side of it so I have knowledge in that area (I’ve worked with special needs, injured, and elderly patients so I can adapt to those needs) & have also dog/cat sat for an even longer time which has given me experience with that aspect of it as well. I will care for your animals the way I would care for my own animals and the same way I’d treat the animals that were my patients. I also have experience with farm animals so if you have those I can help with those as well — I majored in agriculture & helped my vet teacher out at her farm.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Katie care for my 2 kitties while I was on a 4 day trip. She kept in contact with me daily, with pictures and texts . She is knowledgeable on the care of all variety of pets , so I felt confident that my precious kitties were in great hands ! Also, she is very sweet and personable , which is a plus ! I will definately be using her again .
Katie was very quick to respond and accommodated my requests, sent pictures. Will definitely use her again next time I’m in a crunch!
Katie was great! She let me know how my pup, Stevie, was doing, and pick up and drop off was a breeze! Stevie seemed to really like her as well, so will definitely be booking with Katie in the future!

A typical day
I will do my best to give your dog/cat everything it needs while I’m taking care of it! Whether that’s going on walks, getting cuddles, or playing with toys! I also have experience with dogs/cats that have special needs/need extra care. I worked as a vet tech in a clinic where most dogs were injured, special needs, or elderly so I had to adapt to very many different situations & provide different needs for each animal.

I am currently working full time Monday-Friday 8-5. I have an hour lunch break so I could do a quick visit during that time or I can do anything after I get off!
