I grew up with big dogs and learned at a young age how to properly care, train, and love animals. I’ve house/pet sat for various dogs/cats. I am currently a dog/cat owner. I have fostered about 10 dogs (and one rabbit) within the last 1.5 years. I have lots of references, experience, and flexibility. I value open communication. My boyfriend and I have both a resident cat and dog, and we have also regularly been fostering dogs, so we are have our routine nailed down to accommodate animal guests. Either my boyfriend and/or I are home 24/7 95% of the time due to working from home and career changes. We live in a two story house in a dog friendly neighborhood. We have a big (unfenced) yard where we enjoy laying in hammocks, playing ball, gardening, etc. We enjoy taking multiple walks a day and going to parks. We are comfortable with all types of dogs and their specific needs. For example, we have no problem administering any medication your pet(s) may have. Sadly he passed, but we used to have an older dog with physical disabilities and extreme anxiety that needed extra consideration in regard to how we cared for him (e.g. multiple medications, gates and ramps around the house to keep him safe, very regular potty breaks). We have good relationships with two veterinarian clinics and feel we are comfortable responding to any unexpected situations. We allow pets on our furniture and have no issue with your pet(s) sleeping in our bedroom if that is what they are used to (versus a crate). We are comfortable enforcing specific training/routine/approach that you would like us to. Each dog has different needs and I adapt my approach accordingly. We are usually very laid back and keep dogs out of a crate (unless owner desires otherwise). We spend lots of time outside in our big yard gardening, laying in hammock, playing fetch, etc. We do not have a physical fence (we do have an invisible fence for our resident dog), but we have multiple tether run set ups that have worked for our fostering needs. We also enjoy going on walks and to dog parks with our resident dog (we would only bring your dog to dog park after owner conversation/permission and experience observing behavior of dog). I have been a nanny/housesitter/dogsitter for 10+ years and am comfortable and considerate caring for pets at other people's homes if that is desired.
