Obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember. I just wanna hang out with your pet. All dogs welcome - puppies, elderly, nervous (and even naughty!) - as each walk or visit is tailored to them. Large living room filled with comfy sofas which opens out onto a patio and grassy garden area. Your dog can go outside as often as they please, or they can stay tucked under blankets on an armchair all day! I have two years recent experience looking after my family dog, before moving away for university as well as having grown up around my Nan's naughty boxer dog. The family dog is an energetic but anxious rescue lurcher who joined us when he was six months old. I have plenty of patience and experience in walking and caring for younger pets (weeing, playing, nipping etc) and particularly nervous dogs. I understand the importance of routine for an anxious dog as well as the need for a calm, quiet space when they want to relax (but plenty of play when they feel up to it!). Prior to joining my family, our lurcher had not been socialised. Similarly, my Nan’s boxer was never trained and was generally quite grumpy. Therefore, I have no issue in finding local routes which avoid other dogs as much as possible or preventing people from fussing if so required. Lurchers also have very sensitive stomachs and so I would be fine caring for a dog with particular eating requirements. Both my Nan’s older dog and my family pet have needed tablets and I am used to orally administering them.
