I have an extensive background caring for animals, all shapes and sizes. I'm fortunate to have been raised by parents that have a great compassion for animals, especially those that were neglected. Over the years I've taken in numerous animals. Most of which have been rescues with some type of challenge. My great love was a kitty that had water on the brain, requiring special care. He lived many happy years, way past the life expectancy given by our vet. I've owned many species of fish, including saltwater and fresh water. At one point, I had two parrots and a cockatoo. Not to mention the numerous reptiles that have made their way to my heart. I've brought countless dogs into our family, from Chihuahuas to mastiffs. We've seen it all. Our family currently includes our two kitties, 16 and 4. Our one year old white lab. We also have our bearded dragon and uromastyx. Numerous times we've wanted to go on vacation, or even just a day trip. Then the anxiety sets in. Who are we going to have watch the animals? Who can we trust in our house? Things aren't the way they used to be. Watch the news for 10 minutes and it's enough to drive you nuts. We truly love our animals like family. Not to mention, you're allowing someone into your home. I decided that I could help others like my family and I, who may be in the same situation. I do have a successful career. I have time after work during the week, and also on the weekends. I am a responsible mature adult, married to my Army Veteran husband since 2005. I am a mother of two young girls. My career field requires that I am background checked yearly. My company requires all of their employees to be subject to random drug screenings. I do not smoke, nor do I drink. I am a certified first responder. I also like sunsets and long walks on the beach... ha-ha. I figured I would just get all of the details out there in the open.
