I am a current dog handler for an Animal Assisted Therapy dog. I have personal experience in all aspects of pet care i.e. (grooming, bathing, nail clipping, walking/running.) I have direct experience with coordinating Animal Assisted Activity dogs.

Katie is a compassionate, responsible, reliable, and hard-working. She loves animals and is known as the "animal lover" among many of her friends and family. Katie grew up with cats and a dog. She was often the one walking the dog, feeding her, and caring for her. Katie is also in great shape as she is a runner and has completed several 1/2 marathons as well as a rigorous full marathon. Katie has been a handler for an Assisted Therapy dog at her work. Anyone looking for a dog caregiver would be beyond pleased with Katie.
I've know Katie since we were little and for as long as I've known her she has been the biggest animal lover I know. Growing up she had kittens, bunnies, and an American Eskimo dog, named Vanilla. She always puts animals' needs before herself. She is an avid runner and loves running with my dog Harper and taking her on the local trails when she visits me in Florida. Katie is the best and I trust her 100% with my dog!
Katie is a great resource and extremely reliable. I never have to worry when she’s around! She is great with my dog and cat and they both love her too. Katie also is a runner so if your dog has a lot of energy like mine, she’s perfect!

I do have a fenced in back yard with space for dogs/cats to run! However, if your pet prefers the comfort of their home accommodations as opposed to a strangers living quarters I am happy to make house calls.

Any fears they may have, whether or not they interact well with other dogs, and if they do well around other people.
A typical day
I am a high energy person who lives an active lifestyle! I look forward to getting to know your pets and understanding their needs. I run on a daily basis and want to enrich the lives of your dogs with burning off the energy they store up from anxiously awaiting your return home. I look forward to walking your dogs at their favorite parks, incorporating their favorite well loved chew toys into play time, and giving endless belly rubs!

Availability
I am currently working fullshift in downtown Grand Rapids, but am living just North of Grand Rapids. The majority of my availability is Monday-Friday 4:00pm and on, with some flexibility. I am looking to provide your dogs not only with leisurely walks, but to go for runs with them if desired to give them the energy release they crave. I look to provide quality play time and cuddles to both indoor and outdoor kittens/cats!
