Hi, I'm Katie and I LOVE ANIMALS. Growing up with dogs, they weren't just pets; they were family - my confidants, playmates, and best friends. At 10, I became the go-to dog-sitter and walker in my neighborhood. This early start blossomed into a lifelong passion, leading me to work with a groomer at 16, and later at a local vet clinic. My experience isn't just professional; it's personal. In college, I began fostering dogs, and this journey has brought two rescues into my life, transforming them into my world. My expertise ranges from nurturing puppies to understanding the gentle needs of senior dogs. I'm adept at managing various behaviors, administering medical care, and catering to special diets and needs. Patience isn't just a virtue I practice; it's the core of my pet-care philosophy. I believe in making each day the best day for your pet - my daily forest walks with my dogs are a testament to this. Living next to trails, I'm excited to offer your pet the same experience, whether it's a peaceful walk, a trail run, or a ball-throwing session.

Another great experience with Katie. She does an outstanding job with Smokey, and we feel so good being able to tell people that we have found a great dog sitter when they ask.
Katie was amazing. From the initial meet and greet, where she made an instant connection with our dog, we knew that it was going to be a good fit to have her care for Smokey and our home. We got pictures and updates during our time away, and the fact that Smokey ate voraciously at every meal serves as a good indicator that he was very comfortable with Katie. We returned to a home as clean as we left it and a dog happy to see us, but also acting as if we had never been gone. Some people just seem to get animals better than others, although it’s not always easy to determine that up front. Katie made a good impression and delivered up to and beyond our hopes. We would definitely use her again and recommend her highly for dog care.

My home is completely fenced, front and back, and is very dog friendly - they'll be allowed on furniture, beds, and will be treated as family. There is no doggy-door, but our front door is open when the weather allows for it; when it doesn't, your pup will get as much outdoor time as they want. The front porch has a daybed that receives lots of sun, so they can relax and watch the world go by. Your home, your rules - I am happy to enforce whatever rules and routine you have for your pup. In my home or yours, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm/nurturing environment. Your pet's happiness and well-being are my top priorities, and I strive to ensure they feel loved, secure, and joyous every single day.

Lots of walks and love!! I can take them on trail runs if they're high-energy, walks around the neighborhood, ball-throwing. If there's something your pet particularly LOVES to do, I am more than happy to do whatever it is - I'm always looking for new and fun things to make their day.

Availability
My schedule intertwines seamlessly with pet care. Working a hybrid role for the County, I'm home often, ensuring your pet receives all the love and attention throughout the day. My partner, who works remotely, will also be a constant comforting presence for them. When I'm at the office, I make it a point to come home for walks and cuddle sessions in the morning, at lunch, and in the afternoon. In my routine, pets are the stars. I integrate my personal exercise with walking and running the dogs, making sure they get plenty of physical activity (along with myself). My evenings are dedicated to what I love most - showering my and your pets with love and attention.
