Pet care experience
We’ve used rover many times and appreciate most when we can leave our dog in an environment that we trust will be safe and loving. We know how good it feels to drop off your pup and breathe a sigh of relief to know he or she is in good hands. Both animal lovers, Derek and I have grown up with dogs and now have our own — a 6 year old chihuahua mix, Charlie girl, and a 3 year old husky, Buehrle (‘B’). Charlie is very laid back and will mostly leave your pup alone; B is ready to play and is the gentlest & silliest guy. We live in a house with a huge fenced backyard and with good walking routes that we’ll be sure to use frequently with your pup. We’d be honored to be trusted to care for your beloved dog and promise to treat them as our own while they’re with us.

This is the second time we’ve left Rudy with Katie and Derek and again we’re thrilled with their care and communication throughout our trip. They sent photos each day of Rudy playing with their dogs and allowed him to feel right at home. Thank you for welcoming his playtime energy with open arms again!
Fantastic host. My little guy was such a happy dog the entire visit. Katie and Derek went above and beyond sending a lot of great pictures everyday and keeping me updated with everything. They made some accommodations for the fence and did everything they could to make sure I had peace of mind while away. They are great host and nice people and do a great job providing a safe and welcoming home. I will definitely use them again.
Our two high-energy golden retrievers had the best long weekend with Katie and Derek. There was consistent communication/pictures all weekend, and we picked up two tired happy dogs. They even had a chance to go on a hike + swimming.
Katie and Derek were awesome! This was our first experience with Rover and it couldn't have been better. They have a wonderful house and a big fenced-in back-yard, both of which made our 12.5-year-old pup feel at home. We appreciated the daily pictures and texts, as we felt connected to our dog's experience even while away. They were also super flexible when we encountered some unexpected flight delays and had to pick up later than planned. Thank you, thank you! Maddie looks forward to seeing you guys again on her next visit!

Charlie has required medication in the past and we are happy to learn and follow medication schedules as well!
A typical day
We will go for walks if your dog enjoys walking and we love to hike and have many trails nearby. Your dog will have plenty of time to play with our dogs in the backyard, too!
