I am a retired small animal veterinary technician with 20+ years of experience providing gentle care to dogs, cats, birds and reptiles of all ages and health conditions. In addition to daily care, playtime, walks, cuddles and fun, I am experienced in administering oral, topical and injectable medications and fluids as well as understanding that each of our furred, feathered or scaled family members have unique personalities and needs. I am certified in basic life support/CPR for dogs and cats by The American College of Veterinary Emergency Critical Care (ACVECC)

Katie has cared for both my yellow lab Murphy & Stella my cat; visits, walks and overnight. She cared for them as she would her own. My kids were always happy to see her. Whether a visit or overnight, I always came home to a clean house, pet dishes and litter box, fresh water in their bowls. She kept me posted when staying overnight & sent photos of Murphy & Stella. I never had to worry while they were in her care. I wish we still lived in the same state. Katie is punctual, reliable, responsible, kind & loving.

I share my own animal friendly house with a gentle 15 year old Blue Pitbull, a sweet 7 year old Chihuahua and a cuddly Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. Our home has a fenced front and back yard, plenty of room to play, rest and cuddle.

A typical day
Depending on any dietary or physical activity restrictions, some typical games and activities I love to have are : treasure hunt (dogs hunt for small treats in a snuffle pad), fetch, tag, walks around the neighborhood with lots of stops to sniff, etc. Off leash walks (with client's permission) in a large field near my home.
