Pet care experience
I've previously volunteered with the Guide Dog Foundation as a puppy raiser, where I raised puppies from 8 weeks to 1 year before they went into formal guide dog training. I raised two puppies during that times and was a sitter for countless others. Throughout the process, I had lots of training in dog behavior, health, and safety. I've also had experience with fostering cats and kittens with the Bloomington Animal Shelter.

Katie did a wonderful job taking care of our two pups while we were away. She played with them and even gave them massages! Our days were brightened with updates on how they were doing and lots of adorable pictures.

Katie has always been my go-to when it comes to advice about my dogs. After training two Guide Dog Foundation dogs, she’s been a great source of knowledge for me when training my own dogs. She has the sweetest dog of her own, Kristin, who has such a great demeanor thanks to Katie. She also has been a great foster mom to cats and kittens over the years and it just shows how much animals mean to her. Both of my dogs love when she comes over, always getting lots of attention and belly rubs from her. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone needing pet care, I’m very picky about who I let watch my dogs and Katie is one of the select few who have made the cut!
Katie is a very responsible and conscientious person. She loves animals and is very experienced in taking care of pets. My dog absolutely loves her!!!

I currently have a dog and cat that are both very friendly to all animals. I have a large size crate but if you have an extra large dog that needs to be crated you would need to provide it. I'm happy to take your dog to the dog park or dedicate some play time for you cat, whatever will make them happy!

A typical day
I live near the B-line so we love to go on walks there or to Switchyard. They will get plenty of playtime with my pets and I'm also happy to work on some basic commands to get some energy out.

Availability
I am a student/research assistant so my schedule is quite flexible. During the semester, I will have some restrictions due to classes but will always have some time during the day for walks or potty breaks or just to stop in and say hi.
