Pet care experience
I have cared for animals almost since birth. I grew up having dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, and even cows and horses. I have almost always had a dog that I helped to raise, train and care for. I don't have kids yet, so I treat my animals (and yours) like my kids! Chris works from home, and I only work one day a week, so there is almost always someone home to love on your fur baby. We live in an end unit town home, with a large and fully fenced L yard. There are many stairs in our home, so that is something to be aware of. We do have one dog of our own-- a very friendly (though sometimes loud) golden doodle named Mozzie. He is neutered and would love nothing more than to keep your dog company and be a playmate. We walk daily and take frequent trips to the yard to do business or play. We also take trips to the dog park a multiple times a week if that is something you are comfortable with.

Katie and her family have been a huge blessing to our precious boy. The over night stays we have had with them have calmed the fear you have leaving your own kid for a little. I love that she provides updates and includes pictures with each of them. It just shows how honest and kind their family is. Pictures always have included our boy having a good time or relaxing away. I have no fear leaving cooper with them and if you are second guessing because of a past experience don’t miss out on this great family who will actually care for your family. It’s important to be able to trust who you leave your babies with and they have given every reason to gain that trust from us. We are so thankful we found someone we can genuinely trust and know that our boy will be in good hands.
Katie and Christopher did a great job house sitting for us. They were very responsive and provided updates to keep us informed while we were out of town. We will definitely be using them again.
Katie and Christopher were the perfect hosts for Bones! They took such great care of him, gave frequent updates, and were a complete pleasure to communicate and work with over the four nights. They handled our dog with such care and tended to all of his needs as a senior dog. We would HIGHLY recommend them!
They seemed great with my dog, Remy! After a day with Katie and Chris, he seemed tired from all the cuddles he got :)

A typical day
We typically go for walks in our neighborhood checking the pee-mail and going on a sniff-fari. We also love to go to the nearby dog park during the quiet hours when too many other dogs are there. We play fetch until the dogs are tired and happy. At home we have several enrichment toys and visiting dogs are welcome to treats with your approval :)

Availability
Because of our unique work situations, we are almost always available for our pets. I work only a couple days a week and Chris works from home. We make time for our pets everyday for morning walks, and sometimes trips to the dog park.
