Hi my name is Katie and I am that person that says hi to your dogs when you walk by. I love dogs and I miss being a dog owner. My favorite walk, for myself, is to walk to Duboce Park and watch the dogs. I've been dog walking and sitting for the past five years. I truly believe every dog should be leashed train and get daily walks. It's their form of enjoyment like us watching Netflix, or getting brunch with friends! I grew up with a Bichon Frise that had all the personality in the world - she was a family member and is missed. I was an active part of her life from training her as a puppy, walking her everyday, to caring for her as a senior dog. She had a special diet that we prepared every night, so I understand if your dog has special or medical requirements. I'd love to get to know your dog :) Happy to walk or watch your pooch in a pinch, or become your weekly dog walker. Let's chat!

Duskie instantly warmed up to Katie when they first met. Duskie loves his walks with Katie and I appreciate how well she can work with his reactive behavior. She is upbeat, professional, and has a warm personality that pups love!
Katie took care of my young puppy during the morning. She was on time and very friendly! Our puppy is not yet 100% housebroken and he likes to chew on things, but we didn't have any accidents. Katie also seems to have kept him happy and entertained when he wasn't napping. We got lots of pics afterwards, too!
Katie provided excellent care for our pup Andie. She understood her needs and was so attentive. She sent us updates and maintained such a positive attitude. Our pup adores her and even cried at the door when she left. Will definitely call again!

I want to make sure I am prepared in all situations that I might encounter. What would you want a babysitter to know about your child (behavior, personality, bad habits you want to nix)? Think about it like that. What commands does your dog know? Do they know recall (when you yell a certain word and they emergency come back)? Does your dog know their name and come to it? Tell me when they usually act up, (i.e. skateboarders, bigger dogs, tall men, toddlers). Does your dog like other people? Other dogs? Are they leash reactive?
A typical day
My favorite thing about San Francisco is the park culture and how you can probably walk to a park within 15-minutes at any location in the city! This means your dog and me are gonna go check out the park, and if you're comfortable with it, go to a dog park to meet some new pups. If your dog plays fetch or something similar that I can bring to the park and get his/her energy out, that's great! I'd love to actively play with your dog too and build that relationship.
