Katie loves all animals. She went to Vet camp when she was 10 years old. She volunteered with The Butterfly Pavilion, working with tarantulas for a summer. She had a membership to the zoo for years... she spent many days there simply to be in the company of the different creatures. She has experienced first-hand the amazing company and companionship of dogs, whether through therapy or taking pets on walks. She treats dogs with kindness, respect and gratitude for their unconditional love and devotion. Dogs provide great joy for her and she hopes to provide them joy in return.

Katie is an incredible animal lover — one of the best. Her 20 years of life have been spent loving and caring for various animals. From tiny pet hamsters to saving the elephants, Katie’s tender heart and compassion for all creatures allows her to exercise utmost responsibility as a dog caregiver. Katie takes care of Sadie, my golden retriever, when I go out of town. She carefully follows all directions involving feeding, walks, and medications. And what’s even more magnificent to watch is how Katie just connects...it’s like she’s a dog-whisperer. Dogs LOVE her and are drawn to her. Katie would be an incredible asset to Rover and I highly recommend her!
