KTB the RVT - Veterinary Technician/Nurse (18yrs working in veterinary medicine) Specializing in Senior Pet Care. Small to Large Breed. At-home doggy daycare, dog walks, pet visits, medication administration, hospice care & grooming, overnight stays in my home or at yours. I have a 10yr Jack Russell Terrier who is relaxed around other dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and more. As well as 3 senior cats who have always been around dogs and just keep to themselves. Since 2005 I have worked at many different veterinary hospitals; regular local clinics, emergency & specialty medicine, exotic/small mammal hospital, at-home care, and more. But the one thing that is the same no matter where is my passion for helping the pet and pet parent. I have had pets all my life and could not image life without animals. Recently I have stepped back from clinic/hospital work to focus on other passions (still connected to pet care/veterinary medicine).

Katie has cared for my cats while I have been away a few times, she lives super close and is very reliable. I know my cats will receive there medication and food while I am away as well as some TLC.
When I book with KT the RVT I always know if there was ever a problem or concern she would be right there to help my pet and gives great advice.
Katie has been caring for my pets for several years, whether it be walking my dog or caring for my cats she always goes the extra mile. She loves spoiling my pets, I think they miss her when she is gone. When my pets are being cared for by Katie I feel totally comforted knowing she is a highly trained veterinary professional with years of experience.

It always helps me to know a pet's personality, pet peeves, and favorite things, how long do they like to walk for? Do they get along with other animals, or do they prefer solitude? Any medical concerns or information for the pet in the past and ongoing. Knowing as much about a pet as possible really helps to personalize and give the pet experience for the pet.
A typical day
When on a walk with me, we are sure to hit up a local park or walking trail. I myself love walking in Eglington Park, Sherwood, the Beltline, and the Brickworks. If your pets love playing with toys then we will make sure to make that a part of every walk when possible.

Availability
Early to rise early to bed!! Wake up feed the house pets, then it is out for my pup's pee, then off to house visits or dog walks. Work from my laptop in the afternoon, then back to walks and house visits. Days are booked so as not to overlap times so typically late morning walks and late afternoon. Boarding pets will either stay at home with my pets or come for walks depending on ability and temperament. I focus more on senior pet care, I will schedule high-energy pets and low-energy pets on different days as to provide the best care.
