Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and have always loved caring for them and hope to attend vet school to continue that passion and serve the animal and people community. I am staying in Columbia, but not taking any classes so I am available any time, any day. My schedule is very flexible. I have worked in an animal hospital since I was a senior in high school, so I have lots of experience will all kinds of dogs and their needs. I currently work nights shifts at the ICU at Mizzou's veterinary clinic, so I have experience working with dogs that need a little extra care and love. I have over 700 hours of animal care shadowing so I can handle many types of personalities, sizes, and any special skills such as giving medicine or checking heart rates. Dogs are family too and deserve nothing but the best babysitter/walker, me! Thank you for your consideration.

From a young age, Katie has been wonderful with pets. She instantly bonds with all critters big and small, and it was no surprise to me when I found out she wanted to one day become a veterinarian. Animals love her. It’s probably because they can sense her big heart.

We can go for walks around the neighbor hood, play fetch on the quad on Mizzou's campus, visit dog parks, anything! Stephen's Lake park is a great park for walks, but I can go anywhere that you have a preference for.
