Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Katie and I just recently moved back to the mountains after graduating with my Masters from Indiana University. In my free time I loved volunteering at the Bloomington Animal Shelter where I specifically worked with strays. I worked at an animal rescue called Angel Paws in my time abroad so I know how animals of all ages, and backgrounds operate! I love just hanging out with your pets but I’m also always ready for a nice long walk. From dog parks to Petsmart to pick out some new toys, we will have fun! What an amazingly sweet and attentive sitter Katie was to our two dogs. Our fur babies were so excited to have her come take care of them. She followed their care to a T. I will definitely call Katie again.
Katie took great care of my babies and was extremely communicative and sweet the entire process - even in caring for an extremely sassy and temperamental tortie cat! I had anxiety leaving town for the first time during the entire pandemic but knew my girls were well cared for thanks to Katie. Being in a tiny town with limited options for pet care, we felt so lucky to find her! She went out of her way (literally) to drive to our place, sent tons of check in pics and texts, and made sure my cats were loved on and medications were administered. 10/10 recommend!
Kona and Kai were very thankful for Katie to stop by and spend some time with them, even on short notice and sent me photos of my babies. If I’m ever in town again I’ll be sure to ask for Katie. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic! My dog is weird about new people but she was comfortable with her right away. She came by the night before to meet the dogs and go over their routine. She was on time and very friendly. Totally felt at ease leaving my babies in her care. She sent me texts and pics throughout the day. Even volunteered to stay longer than scheduled so we didn't feel rushed. When we got back she let me know about the signs that one of them might have be getting an ear infection. Dogs were happy and super tired after she left. I will definitely be calling her next time we're in town!!!

My biggest concern is making sure the animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their surroundings. I am more than willing to have dogs sleep with me or crate them. Ultimately it is whatever the owner and animals prefer!

A typical day
Depending on the area you’re located and the energy of your pet, we will do different things. Is your dog a big cuddler and would like to be out to go potty only? That’s what we will do! Is your animal an energizer bunny? I can wear him out with walks and plenty of play!

I am currently working part time at Nancy Tuts Christmas Store, however immediately after work I can be available! I am willing to drop everything if anything at all goes wrong with a sitting job.
