My family has had a dog nearly continuously since I was about seven (though I don't really count those early years towards "experience"), and I have participated in formal obedience and agility. I have cared for several of my own, other people's dogs ranging from a Newfoundland to yorkies, and dogs with issues such as fear aggression and poor house training, as well as older and special-needs dogs. Having been through the mouthy puppy phase a couple times, I've also dealt with quite a bit of nipping and teething. I'm a big fan of clicker and positive-feedback training. I have a soft spot for fuzzy creatures, but have a love and fascination of all living things and systems, and am currently pursuing a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I am also an avid yogi and runner (recently half-marathoner [woo!]), and spend as much time outside as possible.
