Not reliable. Sorry. Katia and her spouse cared for our dog. He came back in good shape and happy. So, we rebooked with Katia. To avoid overlapping bookings, we arranged for ours to start when the other ended. It complicated the booking and we had to rely on friends to cover for a couple of days. Katia was supposed to pick our dog up at a neighbor two days after we were supposed to be out of state. Everything was good and Katia was very flexible in making the arrangements. At least until we received a text while on our trip that Katia could not honor the contract due to a "Family Emergency." Katia knew we were already on our trip and that we were not around to fix the problem, interview potential new sitters. She offered no help and merely offered to return the unearned fees for the stay as the solution. I leave it to you to judge. We lost 2/3 of a vacation day (Vail, fresh powder) working with Rover (which really stepped up and helped us find alternatives). I cannot measure the inconvenience to our friends and neighbors, but several pitched in to fix the problem. If they hadn't, this would have been unfixable. This became everybody's problem--except for Katia. It is hard to judge the situation, and I leave it to you to form your own view. I posted this so you would have the facts and can take them into account when choosing whether or not to book with Katia. I sincerely hope the family emergency was nothing serious and wish Katia well. From our perspective, Katia could have proposed something as an alternative or at least offered to find a way to make it up to us. Our vacation time is rare and precious. We work hard to make sure our dog and his sitters are a great fit and that he gets great care when we are not home. This was a real problem for us.

I am truly satisfied! She really showed great care and kept me updated with messages and pictures. My dog really liked her. I knew upon meeting her, he was in excellent hands.
