Pet care experience
I have a wide range of experience taking care of different breeds, sizes, and ages through my years of housesitting & caregiving. I also grew up with dogs & have worked on a handful of farms. Before transitioning to pet sitting, I was a professional home care aide for people with disabilities, the elderly & hospice patients. My work experience and temperament allows me to be patient, detail-oriented, and resourceful.

Incredible at communication, left the house super clean! Handled my crazy pups so perfectly. They are fully tired which is great when you come back from vacation exhausted and your dogs are too
Being new empty nesters we needed not only a weekend get away but someone to watch our two dogs and three cats. This was our first time having a pet sitter and I am so glad we went through Rover! Katia’s professionalism was matched with a fantastic ability to care for animals. It was wonderful to come home to our two big dogs being just as happy and relaxed as we felt!! If you’re looking for a sitter I would recommend Katia!
Katia was very attentive and took great care of our babies!
We needed Katia for two weeks on very short notice as our previously arranged dog/house sitter got severely sick. Katia was fantastic every step of the way. We have Min Pins and I was worried they'd be crazy when she arrived. But Katia's calm demeanor and experience won them over immediately. While we were away Katia communicated with us every day, sent pics and provided updates which we really appreciated. In addition, I had a few things that needed attention while we were gone that didn't fall under the pet care category and she helped with those cheerfully. We came home to a clean house which we totally appreciated! I have complete confidence recommending Katia to care for your pets and home. She did a GREAT job!!!

For petsitting, I do 2-3 walks a day if applicable, and food morning & night, fresh water twice a day and playtime for at least 20 minutes a day, following any special instructions the owner may have for maintaining the well-being of their fur baby. As any pet owner comes to find out, the care given to pets is generally reciprocated tenfold through their affection, presence and admirable idiosyncrasies. Since I can’t have pets of my own at this time, the opportunity to care for another’s beloved fur baby is one that I greatly appreciate & approach with nessecary responsibility.

A typical day
I love to go on explorations around the neighborhood & local area with the dogs I watch as well as play games that are mentally stimulating and create a sense of trust / bonding with the dog and myself. I typically base the activities I do with the dog upon what they’re comfortable with and enjoy doing. No two pets are the same and It’s important to me that the pets in my care feel safe, comfortable and protected.

Availability
I’m currently a student, with classes in the afternoons 11-3pm. I design my schedule to allow for no more than 4-5 hours where I would have to be away from a pet in my care. I enjoy the balance and flexibility petsitting allows, to study with a furry friend & enjoy walks together. I do my best to keep my booking calendar here up to date & respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
