Pet care experience
I grew up on a fruit and flower farm on the Big Island and took care of many dogs and cats over the years, along with sheep, cows, horses, ducks and chickens. I briefly considered becoming a veterinarian because I am such an animal lover. I'm comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and have experience with grooming, feeding (we used to make our own dog food), and providing oral and syringe medications. I have volunteered at no-kill shelters (Rainbow Friends in Kea'au) and am comfortable cleaning up no matter how big the mess. I am active and will go for as many walks (or runs) as you and your pup desire.

My current house is near Diamond Head/Kapiolani park and is completely fenced in with grassy and shaded areas. The Diamond Head dog park is about a 12 minute walk from my house. My roommate Sean is also an animal lover and will always give hugs and love when he is around. We do not have any pets of my own so we are always super excited for doggy-time! I am an active runner and love having a 4-legged companion to keep me company on my walks and runs!

A typical day
I am open to anything your fur-babe would enjoy! Some of my favorite nearby walk destinations include Diamond Head dog park and Kapiolani park. If your babe is a water-lover then Cromwell's is right down the road for a cool dip. Outside or inside, your fur-babe will have a healthy, safe and happy environment along with an excellent companion, me!

Availability
I work full time on campus at UH Mānoa from 8-4 with flexibility for daytime walks and house visits if they are in Manoa/Kaimuki/Kahala areas. I am fully available for pet-sitting from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening and can house-sit any day of the week as long as we set it up with at least 24 hours notice.
