I have no breed preference, but I am looking to expand my grooming clientele. It's important to know as much as possible about a dog before accepting a boarder. What is your dog's age and breed? Training level? What are his or her routines? What is your dog's current housing arrangement? (Apartment, yard, kennel?) Does he or she have special needs? Please send this info with your request. We won't accept requests with just breed and dates. I usually train our visitors on what I call "house rules." They are allowed to sleep on the bed, but not the couch. They're allowed in the kitchen, but need to "back up" (out of the kitchen) on command. Dogs aren't allowed in the laundry room or in the garage, so we do a little boundary training. We use crates as needed when no one is home.

My love of dogs comes from a lifetime of learning from the dogs! I've had 4 German Shepherds and one GSD mix, one standard poodle and now I have two Golden Retrievers. I've also had 2 Huskies, 2 more Golden Retrievers, another GSD, and a Chihuahua as roommates. When we have a boarder, we incorporate your dog into our routine of 2 meals and potty outings each day, plus as much indoor and outdoor playtime as they want. The dogs can play rough indoors, or enjoy the outdoors in a 5000 sq ft fenced backyard. We play fetch and tug-of-war a lot, and look for mice in the wood pile and under the shed.
