Pet care experience
For over 50 years, I have kept a wide variety of critters: dogs, cats, horses, snakes, tortoises, bearded dragons, tegus, guinea pigs, mice, degus, hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, rats, freshwater fish, and arachnids. I've cared for various livestock as well, including dairy cattle, pigs, goats, and chickens. I have a deep love and compassion for animals, and treat them all with the care and respect they deserve. My husband and I currently have six dogs (three with special-needs), and I am experienced with various age-related health issues. Two of our pups are diabetic, and I'm proficient in giving daily insulin injections. As a long-time pet owner, I am also experienced in the husbandry of several species, and can usually recognize right away if something isn't right.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully-fenced yard, with doorway behind the fence - even if a pet bolts out the door, they're still contained in the yard.
Information Kathy R. would like to know about your pet
No breed discrimination here, but I would like to do a "meet and greet" with the dogs and their humans to see if we're all a good fit for one another.
A typical day
Due to lifting limitations, I would prefer to walk dogs in their owner's neighborhood. I avoid dog parks because there is too much potential for escapes, and/or skirmishes with other dogs. I will plan activities around what your dog likes - car rides, fetching, or just enjoying some ear-scratching!
Services
Kathy can watch in your home
Availability
I'm retired, and home most of the time, so pets are not left unattended for more than an hour or so, at any given time.
