Drop-in visits would get a visit outside to relieve themselves along with a clean up if needed. Maybe wander in the yard and check out the new smells. Belly rubs of course! A treat if allowed, along with a check on food and water dishes. I’ve owned cats and dogs for almost 50 years, and time spent outside is a must for a happy healthy pet. Walks would be about 20 minutes. I would ask the owner about the dog’s behavior and personality; how he is around other dogs while being walked and other important details. Or if the owner prefers, and they have an enclosed area/yard we would stay in that. I would want the specifics of what they want included for their pets care. I am comfortable with giving medications I’d needed. I have a pet that is a diabetic and needs insulin injections twice daily.
