Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my life since the age of five. I have raised multiple types of dogs both small and large. I have assisted training police canines and currently have two dogs of my own! Dogs are the love of my life!!!! I have cared for many of my friends dogs over the years which includes house sitting, feeding, walking and playing. I am not working. I was on the heart transplant list since June 3, 2021 and received my new heart June 28, 2022!! I have been cleared to resume all normal activities except for work. I have been a 911 operator/ police dispatcher most of my career. The doctors said that I can work at something that is low key and no stress so my heart won’t have to work so hard! What better to do than take care of dogs and spend time with them!! I am unable to bring pets into my home. I am living with my sister right now while my husband and I search for a house and she is allergic.

This was the first time I have left my dogs with someone other then a family member. I was so impressed with the care given to them by Kathy. She loved on them like her own dogs and they we happy to be in her with her. Kathy took excellent care of them while staying at my home. She will be the first person I call the next time we plan a trip. I just cannot say enough good things about her.
Kathy was phenomenal! I was extremely nervous about leaving my dogs and home in the care of a stranger. But she immediately made me feel at ease. Lots of communication and openness, and she paid such attention to detail. There are a lot of frightening things in the world right now, but Kathy restores my faith! I will absolutely use Kathy again.
Kathy took care of my senior pup and gave him lots of love. He needed medication and is on a special diet and she made sure he didn’t miss a dose and ate well…even treats! She even moved where she was sleeping when she noticed he was pacing and anxious when it was bed time. I would highly recommend Kathy!!
Kathy was great! Very attentive and responsive. She came And checked in on my dog and he was always excited to see her. She made me feel very comfortable while I was away.

I am always extremely careful and attentive with anyones dogs that I am trusted to care for. I am always sure to lock doors, lock gates and make sure there are no ways to sneak out of the house or get loose without supervision. I am trained in pet cpr and first aid and can render emergency treatment if necessary.

A typical day
I love to snuggle and love on all dogs. I will play with them inside and outside, take a walk around the neighborhood or just hang out and watch movies!

Availability
Three months ago I had a very successful heart transplant at UF Shands in Gainesville. I am just not cleared to be able to resume all activities except for work so I will continue to care for your pets!!!! Because I am not working I am quite flexible as to being able to take care of your dogs as needed. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies!!!!!
