Pet care experience

Head Into Summer Special! We’ve reduced our rates to help you and your pup kick off the summer right: • Boarding: Every 12th night is FREE • Daycare: Every 5th weekday visit is just $35 Now’s a great time to book—spots are limited and tend to go fast. Looking forward to spending time with your pets! ————- Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. From the time I was little, I knew my life would always revolve around them. I’ve dedicated myself to caring for animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, horses, goats, and everything in between. That love led me to earn a degree in wildlife management and to turn my passion into my full-time career as a pet sitter. Pet sitting isn’t just a job for me—it’s my whole life. There’s nothing more rewarding than spending my days surrounded by animals, building trust with them, and ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a shy cat, or a senior dog who just wants a quiet companion, I cherish every moment I get to share with them. I also take great pride in giving pet owners peace of mind. Whether they’re heading off on vacation or focusing on work, I want them to feel completely at ease knowing their pets—and their homes—are in good hands. Trust is everything in this line of work, and I am committed to providing the highest level of care. From noticing when something isn’t quite right to taking dogs on fun adventures and sharing plenty of cozy cuddle time, I’m dedicated to giving every pet thoughtful, loving, and high-quality care — just like I would for my own. Providing reliable, loving pet care isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. And I feel so lucky to be able to do it every day in the beautiful state of Hawaii 💗

She genuinely cares for the animals in her care. She made sure my cat was safe during the most recent tsunami by taking my cat to higher ground. Very much appreciated.

Kathy is super sweet and her communication is excellent! She always responds quickly and provided daily updates with photos and videos that really put us at ease while away. Our pup Bailey had a great time with her and her pack!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is always my top priority. We have a fully fenced yard, and every door to the home opens into a secure, enclosed area. Dogs are always closely supervised outside, and I’m highly skilled in reading animal behavior to ensure all interactions are safe and positive. I take great care with doors, gates, and keys, keeping everything secure at all times. Beyond safety, I believe a happy dog is a tired dog! In my care, pups get plenty of activity—whether it’s walks, beach trips, or fun adventures with their furry friends. There’s always room to run, play, and explore. At the same time, I’m mindful of senior pets and tailor their care to their individual needs, making sure they’re comfortable and cared for at their own pace.

Information Kathy O. would like to know about your pet

To ensure the best care of your pet, I ask that you provide the following information: • Does your dog experience separation anxiety? • Is your dog crate trained? • Is your dog potty trained? • Does your dog bark or cry when left alone? • Is your dog able to be left at home for periods, or does it require more frequent attention? • Is your dog cat aggressive? • Is your dog good with children? • Does your dog have any special needs or medications? Additionally, please provide a detailed inventory list of the items you’re dropping off with your dog, including food, toys, bedding, or anything else necessary for their care. I also ask that you refrain from using highly fragranced sprays or chemical products on your dog, as I am careful with the safety of all animals in my care. For flea care, I prefer the use of oral medication over topical treatments to ensure the safety of sensitive animals. Lastly, please provide your veterinary records, including proof of vaccinations (parvo, distemper, etc.) and any other important details that pertain to the care and well-being of your pet. This helps ensure your pet stays healthy and happy during their time with me.

A typical day

A typical day in my care is completely tailored to each dog’s needs. We usually start around 5 a.m., letting the dogs out for their morning potty break before breakfast around 6 or 6:30 a.m.. After that, we’re off for walks and adventures—sometimes stopping at the beach, hikes, a park, or heading up to Waimea. At home, dogs have plenty of space to roam in our big fenced yard, where they can play with other friendly, playful pups. I provide interactive enrichment toys and treats to keep their minds engaged and ensure they get both physical and mental stimulation. I’m always mindful of each pet’s comfort level and will never do anything you’re not comfortable with. While I love creating a fun, active day for the dogs in my care, I also make sure senior pups or tiny dogs get the gentle care and attention they need—whether that means extra cuddles, shorter outings, or even being carried along so they’re always part of the fun. We end the day with walks, dinner, playtime while we watch the sunset and enjoy beautiful Hawaii.
