I have had a pet in my household since I was born. I got my very own dog on my 7th birthday and have had dogs and/or cats of my own ever since. We owned a farm so I’m familiar with caring for multiple types of animals including horses, cows, goats, chickens, peacocks and more. I have been through dog training courses and have trained some of my own dogs as well as horses.

Kathy was wonderful to work with! I felt comfortable leaving my 2 labs and elderly cat in her care. Having an elderly cat on oral medication is not every sitter’s comfort area, but Kathy handled it like a champ who obviously has a lot of experience with animals. I also very much enjoyed the pictures she sent each visit. That always helps ease my worries while away! Looks like I found my new regular sitter!

Whether it's dropping in to feed and cuddle your pet, or taking them for a stroll, I treat your pets with compassion and respect. I want your pets to feel comfortable and secure when they are in my care, and their safety and well-being are my priority. Having fun together is important too, maybe playing fetch or just getting scratches behind the ears and belly rubs. I enjoy photographing your pets and sending you the photos so you, as a pet parent, are comforted knowing your pets are happy, and you might even get a snapshot of a special moment when your pet exhibits a fun behavior.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs, like receiving medications or supplements added to their food. I have experience giving oral medications to both dogs and cats. I will be happy to learn what I can do to take the best care of your fur baby.
A typical day
I love to snuggle and give pets to dogs. I’m happy to take them for a short walk if it’s a smaller or well behaved dog. I have physical limitations that don’t allow me to provide extended walks, running with your dog, or walking a larger or rambunctious dog. However, I'm happy to play fetch with them in your yard.

Availability
I’m a stay-at-home empty nester, so besides taking care of my own animals, my schedule is flexible. I travel occasionally and have various appointments on weekdays that are the only real limitations to my schedule.
