I have been dog sitting since the age of 8. I volunteered for over 20 years, breeding, raising, and training puppies for a national service dog organization, working with a rescue group, and helping out at the local shelter and humane society. In addition, I have done therapy work with my dogs. Rita and Charlie, my current dogs, love to have guests, and are waiting to make new friends, and share their ideal dog space. We live in a single story home with no stairs, so our old and blind friends are safe. Our 2 acre yard is completely fenced, with a 5' fence that is also buried to prevent the diggers from escaping! When the weather keeps us inside, we have lots of space to move around in. We are allowed on the furniture and beds. Kathy has retired and wants to welcome more dog guests into our home to keep us company, and keep us all out of trouble. She was a therapist in the schools, and has plenty of experience with special needs dogs (& kids)! She would love to provide a safe and secure home to host your dogs, where they will enjoy our relaxed and laid back setting, while getting lots of hugs and snuggles. Please note that I charge by the 24 hours, not by the night. So a Friday through Sunday visit is charged as 2 nights plus a day of day care. As I am getting older, I very much appreciate couch potatoes, non-jumpers, and non- barkers!
