I have always had a special love for all animals. As a young child when I received my first pet, continuing through out my life as a mom, a public school teacher of children with special needs, and now as a retired grandmother I have always had animals in my life. I have loved and cared for all types of pets...a bearded dragon, turtles, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, and even a llama named Louie. Consistently throughout my life, my most endearing bonds has always been with dogs and cats. I am especially drawn toward rescuing, caring, and rehoming animals that are often abandoned and unwanted. Often adopting the elderly and disabled pet that is difficult to place as my own. I currently have only one pet, a rescue dog that has been with me for 14 years. She is a gentle mixed terrier that interacts well with other dogs and cats, as well as with my precious grandbabies.
