I've helped with my sister's dogs at times over the last decade and currently have my own 2 dogs (2 & 3 year old Maltese mixes) at home. I've also boarded or housesat for several dogs, both through personal connections and through Rover.

Kathryn has watched my dog several times over the past few years. She would always ensure that he was safe and well cared for. She followed any directions or requests that I gave her.
Kathryn has watch 2 of our dogs. My Yorkie Rosita loves her so much that she thinks she is supposed to go to her house everyday. When she sees her she gets so excited. My other dog Beastie never stayed at her house but she came by to let my babies out and all my dogs know her and love her.

It's helpful to know a little about your dog's schedule (walk, eating, etc.) and how your dog is with other dogs. Mine bark at everything that moves at first, but get accustomed to other dogs and people after a few minutes.
A typical day
We'll cater our activities to your dog. If it's okay with you, we can walk on the beach or go hike at Calvert Cliffs State Park or the American Chestnut Land Trust (always leashed). If your dog prefers a more relaxed agenda, we can play with toys in the house or yard, walk in the neighborhood, hang out on the couch or the deck.

Availability
I'm a teacher, so Monday-Friday I'll be away from home from 6:30am-3pm. I'm happy to board, but be aware that dogs will be unsupervised during the day. Mine will be crated and I'm happy to crate yours or leave them out with limited access within the house. On the weekends and on school breaks, I may go out for a few hours here and there, during which dogs can either be crated or left out, whichever you prefer.
