I'm Kathryn - I am a full-time grad student. With the flexibility of my schedule, I have the freedom I desire to be home for a good chunk of the day with my pup baby, Kai. I previously worked for 3 years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship where I got to mentor college students all day - it was a blast but grad school is calling! WHY I LOVE DOG SITTING: My childhood was filled with dogs - as I grew up my family owned a Beagle, a Dachshund, two Boxers, and now two Pit Bulls. When I met my now husband, he did not have the love of dogs that I do (he was raised with an introverted cat). But shortly after marrying we adopted our puppy baby Kai - she is a 3 year old Chow mix who loves hiking and spending time with other dogs - and he is hooked! We can't imagine life without a dog or two as a part of our family. MEET OUR DOG: We adopted Kai from the Boulder Humane Society in February of 2015. She is a 3 year old Chow mix - but does not carry any of the aggression or protectiveness of her Chow Chow ancestors. She is very calm, but does like to play every now and then. We take her on walks daily and out hiking in the Colorado mountains whenever we get the chance! Playing outside just isn't as much fun without her. She gets along superbly with other dogs - we take her regularly to the dog park to socialize. And she even doesn't mind cats. ABOUT MY YARD: We have a generously sized back yard that Kai loves to run around in. It's the perfect size for her to run and play with a friend! The high fence keeps her safely inside. We have a large deck where Kai enjoys laying so she can survey the land from above - keeping watch for any squirrels that dare cross into her territory. :P There is a happy balance of sun & shade and we always keep water out - both indoors and out. ABOUT MY NEIGHBORHOOD: We live in the beautiful neighborhood of Countryside in Westminster. The residential streets are fun and safe for dog walking and there are also plenty of trails just within walking distance! Your dog will get plenty of exercise and fun here. Whether you're dropping your dog off for a day or two or looking for someone to take your pup on a walk regularly - you can rest assured that with me your dog will be well cared for and loved!
