I’ve had many types of dogs as pets my entire life and once I was about 12, I started to dog sit for my parents friends, neighbors, etc. I was responsible for puppies, high energy dogs, dogs who needed medication and other pets as well. After having worked at a doggy daycare, and now as I am learning how to become a service dog trainer, I have found my passion and I want to be able to take care of the ones in my community!

I have used Kathryn numerous times to dog sit my Cocker Spaniel , Taffy. Kathryn stayed in my home. I trusted her completely. She is responsible and very attentive to my dog. She would send cute pictures at various times just to show me all was well. She walked Taffy daily and gave her plenty of cuddles. When I got home I could tell Taffy was very comfortable around Kathryn. In fact, Taffy jumped up on the couch to sit by Taffy rather than me😂😂🐶🐶 Kathryn’s main purpose was to dog sit but I felt good someone was in my home. She was excellent. Kept everything as I had left it. Kathryn loves all animals. Kathryn is loving, caring and very smart.

I ask that my clients leave me a routine for their fur baby and discuss any rules they have for their pet(s) and home. I always put a leash on before leaving the house unless the yard is fenced in and the client agrees that it is safe to let them out without one.

Pet parents should always inform caretakers about any allergies or medications their dogs are on. I like to know about the dog’s history and anxieties, as well as any incidents with people or other dogs. Knowing your dogs play style will help me tailor our time together so that I can help give them the care they need.
A typical day
I enjoy being outside in nature and love when I can take pets with me. Having worked in a indoor doggy daycare, there are lots of way to entertain inside the home as well! Things like snuffle mats and lick mats help stimulate their brain as well as engage them in fun activity.

Availability
I work full time, but have early hours so I’d be able to help out after 2pm Monday-Fridays. On my days off I am available to do overnight stays and be there for longer hours.
