Pet care experience
I have always been an animal lover, but I have a soft spot for dogs. I have been around dogs since I was born. I appreciate that every single dog has a personality and a story that is specific to them and only them. The second dog I had growing up was found on the side of a highway and was scared of loud noises and a majority of men. We don't know what he went through before we got him but we made sure he had a great life full of love. In time he was less afraid of what scared him and was able to live happy and healthy. I have taken care of puppies to elderly dogs of various breeds. Greyhound, Newfoundland, Golden Retriever, Miniature Pincher, Labrador, German Shorthaired Pointer, Bulldog, German Shepherd, and Basset Hound are some examples of breeds I have taken care of and/or have owned. I also have taken care of horses, cats, Guinea pigs and hamsters.

Kate’s love for animals shows with the caring and tender attention she gives to each individual furry friend. Her soft, yet firm reassurance of their safety and care builds trust. Kate does not raise her voice nor speaks harshly. She displays concern for their physical and emotional well-being, administers correct first aid, and is level headed and calm in emergency situations because of her background in healthcare. Jack, our 75 lb. retired greyhound, adores Kate.

I have known Katie for most of her life and have watched her grow into a remarkable young woman. I have seen her interact with cats, dogs and horses. She is demanding but kind, patient and loving towards animals. Professionally, Katie has proved herself to be reliable, competent and trustworthy. She is the type of person I would insist on to care for my pet.
Katy has an incredible knack of relating to animals and their owners. Her ability to handle a pet with confidence and love provides the owner a sense of security, knowing that she cares as much as they do about that “fur baby!” Katy listens to what the is expected from her, and exceeds those expectations consistently. I believe that her experience with both large and small animals stands her well in this position. I heartily recommend her.
