When I lived on the east coast, I would take care of my sister's Boston Terriers regularly: stay with them at night, feed them, walk them and watch Law and Order with them. I always wanted to take them running in the park, but they were small and usually tapped early. Any bigger dogs I would bring out to the park for a long run. I've been in San Francisco a few years now, but my job has recently switched to much more time working at home. As a result, I'm very flexible in terms of geography (I can work anywhere with internet) and timing (my schedule is my own). Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to have dogs in my building, even though I love them. So, I'm eager to spend play with a dog whenever possible. I do take occasional 2-3 day trips for work. But, these will be on the books well in advance.
