Katey provides a home away home!
Pet care experience
I used to work as a dog trainer, fostered dogs, and cared for animals my whole life from pets in home to volunteering at shelters. I view pets as children requiring the same amount of care and well being. We are cat owners and dog lovers! My husband, son, and I work together to provide a well rounded visit to include exercise, play, cuddles, and naps. We understand that experiences like Rover stays can greatly impact a dog's well being and we aim to be the place your dog can't wait to return to.

My dogs absolutely love going to Kathryns and run to the door when we arrive. She is very thorough on letting me know how their day went and what they did. You can tell her and her family enjoy caring for my pups and I highly recommend her.
Our dog had a wonderful time. He has a second family.
Words cannot express how grateful I am. Kathryn watched my pup for a week. The communication was outstanding as I received corespondents and pictures daily. My dog, who has separation anxiety, was so relaxed. He definitely felt trust and love in this family. If you ever need someone to care for your pup, Kathryn is your person. Your dog will thank you for it.
This past November my husband and I realized that our 3 month old puppy had never been alone with anyone else. We are retired so we’re primarily home but things do come up which require travel including our vacation in April. We looked through the list of Rover providers and after reading the biographies, we gravitated to Katie. After the meet and greet we were comfortable with our choice and after the 1st visit we knew our little girl loved her 2nd family. When our dog recognizes their home, whimpers and pulls to get inside, we know she wants to be there. I echo the comments from their other clients but would like to add something else that explains the confidence we have in Katie. The goal since our first visit was to get Ida Rose comfortable being left with someone else so we scheduled some visits, each one being longer and with this visit being an overnight. We also plan to have a 24 hour stay between now and when we travel in April. Katie not only understood what we were trying to accomplish but worked with us each step of the way, putting our needs and Ida’s needs first. When we head out for our trip we will relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our little girl is having a vacation of her own. Georgi D

We can make many accommodations for your pet. We have an unfenced yard with a dog run or the use of 50 ft leads for exercise. Dogs can run like they're unleashed, but safely with us on the lead. For sleeping arrangements we offer an extra large crate, enclosed room, gated living room, and free to roam our ranch style home. We also have shared our bed with nights getting kicked out by a bed hog from time to time. We use our SUV for transportation to local trails. Our home will include loving attention from all of us. Many improvements and additional features are planned for the future.

Information Kathryn K. would like to know about your pet
I like to understand your dogs temperament. Any fear of thunderstorms, certain sounds, food aggression, places they don't like to be touched, etc. What are the house rules with human food and being on furniture. Preference with crating to open roam. How are they with kids, cats, dogs, or other people. If you're okay or not with other dogs staying.
A typical day
I ensure to accommodate the activity and environment to your dog's needs and preference. We can stay home and chill out, play in or outside, walk in the yard, visit VanBuren Park, walk the canal, or go for car rides.

Our schedule is flexible. I am am independent contractor working full time from a home office with occasional weekly day travel. My husband, Josh, works a monthly rotating schedule and is always excited to keep the dogs active and play. My son, Caleb, is 9 and he loves getting off the school bus to greet dogs and he says that he "is in charge of the lovins'". We look forward to encorporating your pet into our home according to their needs be it as a couch potato or outdoor enthusiast.
