Cambridge Dog Mom

Pet care experience

I've cared for my own and my friends' pets for 9 years now. My current pup, Tony Bark (named after Tony Stark), I got when he was a puppy and trained him myself. I've worked through numerous health issues with my pets and puppy training. Tony and I LOVE to have four-legged visitors, and we can be both calm, laid-back, and snuggly AND active city adventurers.

Kathryn did a great job house sitting and taking care of my dog Parsley. She sent me plenty of messages with photos. Parsley really liked her and her dog Tony. There were lots of walks and trips to the dogpark. I would definitely recommend Kathryn to others.

Kat has been an amazing person to take care of my puppy. When I lived in the area, she was always readily available, highly communicative, and such a wonderful person to take care of Avie!! She loved Avie as her own, always making sure to tailor, any foods to my requests, taking her on regular outings and play dates, and of course, giving her all of the loves, snuggles and attention. I knew whenever Kat had her that Avie was safe, comfortable and happy. Leaving her with Kat gave me a peace of mind as an anxious pup owner. I cannot give her enough praise!!

Kathryn is so responsible in making sure our dog gets enough exercise, is well cared for, played with, and loved. She always sends us the most adorable updates and photos to ensure our dog is doing OK! Kathryn is flexible, reliable, and has the biggest love for animals that shines in the way she cares for our dog.

I have access to a fenced courtyard with my building and a small, fenced dog relief area behind the building. On the weekends, I often walk ~10 minutes to a fenced dog park to meet new friends! I can close access to non-common areas of the apartment and provide regular monitoring of the dog(s) in my care. Often, we sit in the living room on the couch to snuggle and snooze during the weekdays.

Information Kathryn H. would like to know about your pet

Let me know about your pup's energy level and exercise needs! Are they friendly and playful with other pups? If so, they'll meet their new best friend in Tony Bark (3yo curly chocolate Labradoodle). I can administer oral medications on a set schedule, so let me know if your baby has any special needs.

A typical day

We love a midday walk in this house. Between and after any Zoom meetings that occur, we get out for some fresh air. I have TONS of toys that your fur babies will be welcomed to play with inside the apartment with Tony. If the weather is nice on a weekend, we could even go further outside of the city for a leisurely hike or just to explore a new area (all new smells!)

I work mostly from home with typically 1-3 in-person meetings scattered throughout the week. I take Tony out for bathroom breaks AT LEAST every 5 hours and I can definitely do more often than that if needed or wanted for your pet. We go for a daily walk around Cambridge and/or along the Charles River.
