Pet care experience
I have had dogs my entire life. From rambunctious puppies to senior dogs, I have loved and cared for every stage. Dogs are not just dogs, they are like family members. Sadly my 14.5 year old senior golden retriever passed over the rainbow bridge. So this leaves me in quite a predicament! I have so much love to give a dog but am not ready to have one of my own just yet. Lucky for you, I am bursting at the seams, ready to pour that love into your dog and treat them like a member of my family. Think of it as your dog getting spoiled and loved by grandma. Your dog would be the only dog in my home as I prefer to really get to know each dog in order to provide them with the best possible individualized care. Trust me, your dog will not lack for attention!! Dogs love me and I love dogs. I hope to meet yours soon.

Milly had a wonderful stay with Kathryn! We got daily updates and photos letting us know what was keeping her happy and busy. She had daily walks and plenty of love and attention. We were so lucky to have her so well cared for while we were away. Kathryn will be the first person I reach out to when we need a Rover again!
Kathryn took excellent care of our senior dog. Nutmeg came home calm and happy. Her updates were through and we never worried for one moment. We really appreciate her attention to details that provided us peace of mind.

As a Home Care nurse I work with elderly and vulnerable adults in their homes, many of them have dogs of their own. I view dogs as also being vulnerable, they require someone with the utmost integrity to provide great and safe care all while making it fun for them! When they are in my home they would have free range of my house and treated as a member of my family. I want them to feel comfortable and secure at all times. Extra love, snuggles and them hanging out with me will be my priority. We will be great buddies.

Happy dog equals a happy owner, both very important to me.
A typical day
I live by numerous parks and love to walk. Each morning I start my day with a 3-4 mile walk. I meander through woods, on city trails and in and around my neighborhood. Your dog would have so many new and exciting places to sniff and explore. There is nothing quite as enjoyable to me as watching a dog wag their tail in pleasure and excitement while on a new adventure. If your dog likes to play fetch, tug on toys, explore their world by having extra long sniffs, I’m game. Every dog’s energy levels, confidence and needs are unique. I let them set the pace!

I am a home care nurse and work very part time providing care for my clients in their homes. I have very flexible hours and make my own schedule. My husband offices out of our home so your dog would never be left alone.
