Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs, both big & small, since I was about 10 or 11 years old. I've helped out neighbors, friends, & family, by walking, feeding, & bathing their dogs. I've also worked with nervous dogs & have been able to handle them pretty well. I volunteered at a dog rescue for about 10 years, helping to walk, bathe, & feed. I know how to approach shy & nervous dogs.

I've known Kathryn for many years. I met her while I was serving as a volunteer EMT for the Peeples Valley Fire Department; she was delightful and full of energy. Kathryn worked with our local veterinarian and, as a result, learned a lot about animal behavior (dogs and cats). Among other skills, she learned how to calm a frightened animal. Kathryn was our go to when we travelled to take care of our four cats. Later, we adopted two dogs and she came to love them as much as our cats. My husband and I trust Kathryn's judgement, her patience, her skills, and her caring nature. She is truly an animal lover.
We met Kathryn first as a caring tech with our local country vet. She was always so kind and compassionate with our four legged kiddos. She quickly became a trusted friend and nanny to our babies. We would only trust our babies with someone who knows how precious they are and would treat them like the family members that they are. She has a unique way to which dog and cats respond and quickly feel comfortable. She knows how to tailor the interaction to the particular dogs needs active and buoyant or calm and cuddly. I highly recommend Kathryn to anyone who is as picky as we are about who takes care of your fur babies!
Kathryn took some C9 classes at Yavavpai College and our dog went with her. She taught our dog how to sit, lay down, roll over, and some other tricks. Kathryn also walked several dogs in the neighborhood on a weekly basis.
Kathryn is one of the greatest people I know. She loves dogs and all kinds of animals just as much as she loves her family. She is such a sweetheart. I truly recommend her. For as long as my dog is around she will be walking him.

When I'm walking my dog, I make sure her leash & collar are on securely, before leaving the house. I also make sure to walk on a sidewalk, if it's available, to avoid traffic. I also check blacktop or sidewalk, with my hand, to make sure it's not too hot for her. For pet sitting, I make sure they have food & water, are able to get out & use the bathroom (if they don't have doggie door or access to outside while owners are gone), I also make sure to play with & spend time with them, so they aren't lonely while their owners are gone. I make sure to get them to a vet, if medical attention is needed, as quickly as I can.

A typical day
I love spending time & playing with dogs! We'll go on long walks, play some fun games, like fetch & tug of war, & maybe even go to a fun place, such as a dog park or to get a puppaccino.

Availability
I'm currently working as a waitress, but my hours vary by week. I'm available to take care of & walk your dogs in the mornings & early afternoons. I get at least 2 or 3 days off a week as well. I have plenty of time to take care of your pets.
