We only open our home to ONE dog at a time! Warning- your dog(s) might not want to leave! I am an experienced, highly-recommended, local dog trainer (AKC certified) with a passion for working with dogs. I use positive reinforcement based training techniques and have experience working with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, backgrounds. We are only willing to open our home to one dog per day/night (or multiple dogs from the same family) so that we can provide them the time and attention they deserve while you’re working or away.

Arranged boarding for our dog with a short notice to surprise my spouse who works in another state. Kathryn was kind enough to accept and offer Lola a home environment with Betty and their daughter while I was away. She provided daily updates with pictures and even videos, which helped a lot. It probably took some time for Lola to adapt to the new environment and friends. They patiently helped with that transition and also the additional food that I brought for Lola in case she didn't eat her regular food due to new place. When I came to pick Lola, she was excited to show her new friends in particular Bo. Thank you Kathryn and Betty for opening your home and making Lola feel safe and loved while I was away. I am sure Lola is looking forward for the next time, which won't be too far away. Thanks.
We are so happy we found Kat & her partner Betty! Reggie was so happy and enjoyed having the company of their 3 dogs and their daughter to play with & snuggle with. We will definitely be using Kat again in the future!

We were so nervous leaving our two cats with a stranger, they are our babies. But Katheryn was so kind and patient, making us feel comfortable and following through on everything we asked. If you work with Kat, your fur babies will be well taken care of.

Please advise me of any potential behavioral issues, leash challenges, or special needs so I can properly support your pet. Is your dog reactive on lease? Is there a part of your pets body they don’t enjoy being touched? Do they have any food allergies?
A typical day
My favorite part about working with dogs is creating balance in their lives! I do this by providing proper amounts of both physical and mental stimulation- via walking, sniffing, enrichment games, teaching new behaviors, structured play, etc. Adequate mental and physical exercise is critical for a dogs health and well-being. Proper mental stimulation also reduces stress and anxiety related behaviors!

Availability
My availability changes slightly each week to accommodate my training clients, but I am available most days, from 7a-3p. Other times may be arranged, with adequate notice. Working with pets is my full-time career & passion!
