Pet care experience
* Moving out of state Memorial Day Weekend. I will miss all my regulars! Taking care of animals has always been my calling! I have two fur- babies of my own at home: a cat and a Australian mix. Plus two non- fur babies. I was working full- time at a daycare/ boarding facility for over two years, where I cared for dogs, cats, and exotics from every walk of life. So far, I have never met a critter (or person) that I did not like. I also worked at several veterinary clinics, and am licensed as a veterinary technician. I therefore know basic animal care and warning signs of potential problems. I also was trained in fear- free methods in hospital settings for dogs and cats.

My kitties were so happy. Kathleen took care of them very well. She also sent lots of pictures and a video.
So nice, and patient. We have a picky cat and Kathleen was able to get him to come out for pets!
So incredibly nice, responsive, and communicative! It can be stressful to leave pets for an extended period of time and she was so nice about everything, even sent pics of the pets!
Kathleen took care of Sadie while I was out adventuring and let me feel at ease. She sent photos to keep me up to date, let Sadie get her zoomies out and overall did a wonderful job. Will definitely be using Kathleen again!

Every animal is an individual so it’s helpful to know their personality or special needs so that I can take that into account. If you know how your dog or cat acts without you there, that is especially helpful for everyone.
A typical day
I like to hide treats at the end of the visit for them to find. If possible I love to take the dogs for walks to get their sniffs out. I also love to brush both cats and dogs, if they allow it.

Because I am back to working full time, I am only able to do drop ins after five on the weekdays. Otherwise I am only available on weekends or federal holidays.
