Kathy is just plain awesome anyway, but her love for pets is over and above even her regular brilliance. She provided daycare for my beloved Weesie for two years. She is safety conscious and very respectful of the rules that I have in place for Weesie. That was my main criteria. What I didn't expect was all the extra love she gave my little girl. She is very creative, so when she noticed something Weesie likes, she would build an activity around it. Chasing the water from the hose and trying to bite it? Sure, let's schedule watering the garden while Weesie is here. Did someone say "fetch"? She's all over that. The very best was when I came to pick Weesie up and noticed that she was eating one of Kathy's house plants. I was embarrassed and apologized to Kathy. She said, "Oh, it's fine. I noticed that her stomach is sometimes a little sensitive, so I started growing organic wheatgrass for her to snack on." I moved away nearly two years ago, but if I say K-A-T-H-Y to Weesie, she runs to the door and does her special smile with that stub of a tail wagging ninety miles an hour.
