I have experience as both a large and small animal veterinary technician, a degree in Animal Science and my most recent position was teaching high school animal science. I have taken care of a wide variety of species including reptiles, birds, dogs, cats, chinchillas, fish, horses, goats, sheep and more! I am attentive and understand the physical, mental and emotional needs of pets especially when their owners are away. I offer both short term and long term care and have covered up to six month deployments. Animals in my care are treated as if they were my own. I can take them hiking, swimming, and running as long as the owners are comfortable with it. I balance my time between being home with my nine month old daughter and going to school part time. My daughter loves being outside- I have a hiking carrier for her and a jogging stroller that allows me to cover all sorts of terrain to get everyone outdoors as much as possible. Care for pets can vary based on the pets needs. I have a fenced in yard, a 10' by 10' outdoor covered pen, and two dog crates available (extra large and medium). I live in a quiet neighborhood that is safe for walking and have access to miles of trails accessed by the back side of Carvers Creek State Park. I do have two dogs of my own that are up to date on all vaccines but are kept separate from client's dogs. My boxer is very playful if you want your dog socialized with her, but if not, the backyard can be closed off from my dogs to allow yours to roam and play.
