Pet care experience
Although I am new to Rover.com, I have lived with dogs in my house since I was five years old. I have two senior dogs, Shamrock & Declan. I volunteered at a dog rescue group; I have worked at two pet grooming shops, a pet resort & daycare, and at another pet sitting service. I truly enjoy being around dogs and giving them loving pets and belly rubs.

We had Kathleen do drop-in visits while we were gone for 3 days, to care for our dog. She was amazing and really took the time to make sure he was loved and comfortable while we were away. She sent updates on how he was doing, pictures of him playing in the yard and house, and gave him plenty of belly rubs. We were so happy to know he was in such great care!

Kathleen is a wonderful pet nurturer. She is responsible, kind and a true pet lover. Animals gravitate towards her gently spirit. Kathleen has cared for my little Vanilla with nothing but love. Vanilla loves visiting and/or seeing Kathleen. You would be in good hands by choosing her to work with your dog in any capacity.

I always felt a connection to dogs. When I'm out running errands or shopping, I will always spot a dog right away. I will ask the owner if the dog is friendly, then give it chin and chest rubs; then if the dog is ok, I will give him/her a good butt rub as well.

I prefer to do a meet and greet before sitting or walking your dog. This will give us a chance to meet face to face, and ask any questions you and I have for each other. Please let me know also during this meet and greet if you dog takes medications or has a medical issue.
A typical day
If a dog likes to play fetch, I will throw a ball for him/her to fetch. If they have a tug-o-war rope, I'll play tug-o-war. I will sit with the dog and give him/her belly rubs, chest rubs, and ear rubs.
