Pet care experience
I am brand new to dog sitting, but not pet sitting! I volunteer with reptile rehabilitation and rescue, and often provide boarding for reptile pets. However, I have been a dog owner for 22 years and absolutely love them. We lost my beloved pittie, Thor, to cancer last year and our other dog is a bit lonely. We also know this isn't the right time for us to bring a new dog into the family. I realized this would be a great opportunity to both help out owners looking for peace of mind and also provide Lobster with an in-house sleepover from time to time!

Your dog will be treated like one of our family members. Dogs are allowed on furniture and welcome to sleep in our beds. Although we don't have a crate, we'd be happy to set yours up anywhere in our home if you prefer. We have a fenced in yard and there is access to it 24/7. We are available throughout the stay by email, call, or text, and can send photos whenever requested. We are not a home that will provide strict training or lots of discipline. We are a home that will provide your dog with lots of love and snuggles until you return. (Our dog LOVES other dogs, and we ask any dog staying with us to enjoy playing with other dogs as well. It would be a bit too stressful on him otherwise.)

A typical day
Your dog will be a part of our family during their stay. on weekends, we love to explore new parks to sniff. During the week, we tend to stick to longer walks in our neighborhood. We have food puzzles if your dog likes those, as well as a variety of toys. Most important, we are excited to love on every dog that stays with us.

Availability
My husband works from home the majority of weekdays, but if there is an exception during your dog's stay would we let you know in advance. Otherwise our dog is alone just for the school day. On weekends we love to take find new places to sniff and walk around.
