I am Kathleen and I recently relocated to Santa Fe and so far I am loving it! I am a very responsible, intelligent, Ivy League graduate and a former practicing attorney, but I left the Northeast for a more relaxing, creative, and fun lifestyle. I enjoy practicing and teaching yoga, and I am a Level II Reiki practitioner. I really enjoy giving Reiki to animals and they love it! Reiki has worked wonders for my 18.5 year old cat. I am super respectful and reliable, and I can provide excellent care for your home and your animals. I have had pets my entire life and I care for all animals I meet. I love them and they love me! Probably becuase they know I want to spoil them... I look forward to sitting! A NOTE ON PRICING: my overnight rates apply to afternoon/evening arrival and next day morning/mid day departure. If you require early morning arrival on the starting day and/or late departure on the last day, additional charges for additional sitting/feeding may apply and will be determined on a case by case basis. Is the dog aggressive towards people or other animals? Does he or she have a history of aggression? Does the dog have certain fears or issues I should be aware of? Is the dog prone to running away? Can the dog be off-leash? Basically any details that you can provide that will make my visits, and your absence, the most comfortable and safe for your pet and me!
A typical day
I would not include any outside animals in my sitting responsibilities. The dog pictured is a family dog and he would stay home. I also definitely love cats and am available for cat sitting as well as for other non-canine pets! Otherwise, I will play with the dogs toys and/or sticks for fetch, and make lots of time for pats, and of course go on walks wherever the dog likes! Some of my favorites are the Ortiz dog park, the Arroyo Hondo Open Space, and Arroyo Chemisa. Animals are very receptive to the healing energy of Reiki and I can perform Reiki sessions on your pet for an additional charge.
