Pet care experience
I’m just so doggone crazy about dogs! Since a very young age, I’ve been a caretaker for our furry friends––fostering dogs since the second grade. I’ve been in the veterinary care field for 12 years in clinics and emergency care as well as an adoption coordinator at a rescue. I’ve been a board member for rescues for close to 6 years, and ran a UC club that focused on volunteering at rescues. All in all, I’ve been involved with animal care for over sixteen years––and don’t plan on ever stopping. Dogs are my passion and I’ve dedicated my life and entire career to understanding their behavior and learning skills to ensure their well being. I have a full spectrum of expertise from bottle babies to serious medical cases––and am qualified to take care of special needs and senior pets as well as puppies and breeds of all sizes and temperaments. I’m confident in my abilities to care for your beloved pet, but animals bring me so much joy and companionship. Having dogs and other animals in my life from a young age has taught me compassion, kindness, and patience. I have an 2-year-old pup named Honey and she is the friendliest and sweetest dog. She’s great with every animal she meets and does not prompt play unless the other dog does. She’s wonderful with dogs young and old as well as cats! I also have two laidback CATS. They’ve been raised with dogs all their lives, so they are very comfortable around their canine friends, but I have a separate room just to board other families cats. I have numerous cat trees around my home, so if your pup starts to get a little frisky, the cats will happily climb the trees and hang out there taking naps––it’s never been a problem as long as the dog is not cat aggressive. My house has been puppy-proofed to guarantee everyone’s safety and happiness. Your dog is welcome to make our home theirs unless you want them to remain in their crates for training purposes. I love having wagging tails all around my home. I am also ASPCA certified in nervous dog rehabilitation, so I am comfortable caring for all kinds of animals. Just like humans, there are introverted and extroverted dogs and cats, so I will do my very best to adapt my service to suit their physical as well as their emotional needs. We will go on leisurely walks or hang out at a dog park for some socializing then come back and cuddle at home. I am a full time, 7 days a week, pet care provider, so I am able to focus on your furry family member while in my care. I offer a numerous options for pet care, everything from play and stay (overnight boarding) to drop in visits. I make sure they have a fun time while you are away and you won’t have to worry I am a full time pet care provider! Animals my love and passion and I was able to make it into a full time job spending time playing and caring for them I spend as much time as possible with every animal that I take care of. My pets are my children and when I take care of yours they also become a part of my family

I have a fully fenced yard that the dogs are only in supervised. We play in the house a lot especially during the hot summer days and rainy winter days. We do have the ability to separate the older or less active dogs so they aren’t so bothered by everyone playing around them. I do have two cats who have run of the house and love dogs so dogs do need to be ok with cats to come play
Home
Information Kathleen E. would like to know about your pet
Our home is a single family home with a decent sized, fully fenced, backyard. We are located in Woodland. The area is very nice and very pet friendly. We also live just 10 minutes from a large fenced park, so I love taking the dogs there so they can run around and get their hearts pumping.
A typical day
As someone who’s been a dog caretaker for these many years, I know exactly what to ask to ensure your pup’s health, safety, and happiness. The greatest pleasure I get from this line of work is when you come back and see your happy pet––and it feels like you’ve left your beloved pup with a longtime friend. I want to take the anxiety and stress out of this entire process. Meet and greets are a fantastic way to alleviate a lot of the worry since we can get acquainted and you can see our home is set up. I’ll have a list of questions asking about your dog’s diet, exercise/walk schedule, illnesses/medications, preferred areas to be petted, triggers, etc. I also believe taking care of the human owner is the other half of this job, so I will happily send regular updates via text or pictures so you don’t ever miss your pup or a really adorable moment. Communication is the key factor to a wonderful and lasting working relationship, so please feel free to contact me anytime, day or night!

I typically schedule meet and greets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the mornings or afternoons to make sure I have time to talk to you and meet your furry family member without being rushed. I want to make sure they’re comfortable and happy with staying with me and my cats and dogs.
