Pet care experience
I am currently working part time as a dental assistant and wanted to find another passion. Working with animals has always held a place in my heart. Having grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and fostering kittens on my free time with my sisters has created the passion and knowledgeable experience I have in taking care of animals. Something that inspired me to get into rover was going to Guatemala, my parents home country, and seeing the need animals have. In one of the pictures I have it’s a picture of me and my sister visiting Guatemala once a year and feeding and giving back to stray dogs and cats. I find such joy being around animals and helping. I also helped my dad in taking care of his 17 year old elderly Chihuahuas who have recently passed. As hard as that was it was a great learning experience in caring for animals.

What can I say about Kathia. She is a delight to work with and obviously loves animals, especially dogs and cats! Kathia is kind, playful, adhere to your feeding and daily instructions. Kathia was a great match for my little boy Rocky! We received lots of pictures and videos and Rocky looked like he was having a great time. Kathia was very responsive, and she got back to us immediately when we had questions. I would recommend Kathia to anyone as she enjoys animals, and is very trustworthy and responsible.

I have fostered kittens and cats for about 3 years and have grown up with 3 dogs. When my parents were away they trusted me into looking after their babies. My family is obsessed with animals and I have gained knowledge and care for animals by living with them my whole life. Although I am new to rover I have a lot of experience with dogs puppy’s and older dogs. My dad unfortunately had to put down 2 of his 17 year old Chihuahuas last year, as sad as it was I learned the care and understanding of taking care of elder dogs. I hope you see my experience with animals as a Value to the care you need for your pet.

Although I am new to injections or administrating oral medications, I am very familiar with working with senior dogs. I do understand the importance of attention an older dog needs as they are more vulnerable. I have experience from my parents 17 year old chihuahuas, and seeing the necessities they needed. My parents chihuahuas were blind and deaf so hearing to their needs required more attention. Creating a safe environment for them was very important for my family and I, and making sure the last few weeks of their lives was taken with good care and love.
A typical day
Play time with your pet would include Hiking and going on 30+ min walks. What your playtime consists of with your pet I can implement with the time we have. I enjoy going to the beach, so if your pet is comfortable with going near the water that will be one of the fun activities we do together. Again what is comfortable for you and your pets!

Availability
Apart from being a dental assistant in Marin county Monday-Thur, I love the outdoors and can bring that to use for your pet, such as long walks and playtime for you fur babies. Being a part time dental assistant has allowed to free up my weekends, Fridays, and some Thursday nights as well to work with rover and do something I adore which is working with animals.
