Pet care experience
Drop off, pickup, and meet and greets must be held outside, with masks (for the humans), observing social distancing guidelines. Every effort to minimize risk of exposure will be made, for the safety of my family, and my clients. I wish you (and your pets) the best of health. My family is full of animal lovers! Our home in Renton is convenient to Seatac and we would love to provide a safe and loving environment for your animals while you're away. We have adopted and fostered many animals through the years, and currently have an older rescue pug, a young American Eskimo mix, and two cats. We have experience with animals with special needs (allergies, arthritis, diabetes, etc.), so we are well versed in caring for pets who need special attention or medication. My husband Lan and I do the majority of the caretaking of our Rover guests. I work from home and have two energetic older children, so your dogs will get all the love, attention and exercise they need. Our 19- and 13- year old kids both help too, whether with dispensing treats, playing fetch, or just general loving on the pups who stay with us. We can almost always arrange it so that one of us is home with your pets at all times, with a few exceptions for errands and obligations. We require a meeting with you before you book, to make sure everyone is comfortable before we finalize any plans. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests, but preplanning is our favorite. We've raised chickens, rabbits, grew up around horses, and have experience with farm animals. We're definitely not afraid to tackle almost anything. Don't be afraid to ask us to watch your backyard chickens, goats, or alpaca!
Reviews
My buddy was well cared for!
Our Pup will definitely stay with Kathi and her family again. We loved getting the pictures and updates. Great communication! When we picked her up, we could tell how happy she was to see us, but she kept turning back to wiggle over to Kathi too. So it’s clear Valentina really loves her. Grateful for good care!
Super communicator! Took excellent care of our pup. Will use again!! Highly recommend!
Kathi was super friendly and sent us several updates. She really seemed to put thought and care into watching our dog, even though it was just for a couple days.

Daycare drop offs should be between 8:00a.m. and 9 a.m., and pickup should be completed by 6:00 p.m. There is some flexibility with drop off and pickup times, so ask for what you need. Boarding is normally billed in 24 hour increments, with some wiggle room for longer stays. REQUIREMENTS Most importantly, your dog must be healthy, up to date on all vaccines, and free from parasites including fleas. Additionally, please make sure your dog's nails are trimmed before our visit, otherwise a grooming fee will be incurred. I keep my ratios low, but it is very important that your dog be well socialized with people and other animals, including cats. I am usually home during the day, however, dogs with severe separation anxiety are difficult for me to care for due to my personal and work obligations. If your dog has severe separation anxiety, but is comfortable in a crate for short periods, I can usually work with you. Your dog's comfort and safety are my first considerations. Clear and honest communication is tantamount to our working relationship.
A typical day
I typically take Stella for two short walks in the neighborhood per day. On the weekends, we love to get out on the hiking trails and if your dog is a good hiker, they'll be invited too! We don't do any off-leash hiking; safety is our #1 goal, fun and exercise are goals #2 and #3.
