Careful loving quick walker
Pet care experience
Since I was a young I’ve been my neighborhood dog walker. Now I study their behavior and psychology as a profession. You could say I’m a dog lover I guess;) I have been the proud owner of two dogs myself. One I showed in agility and conformation, the other basic obedience training. I’m the past I volunteered at Yale and worked at Barnard college in NY. Currently I’m a MA student at NYU trying to earn some extra cash to pay the bills. I am willing to do boarding as well but only short term = less than a week

Katherine was wonderful! Easy to work with, very knowledgeable about dogs and great with our dog. We would hire her again in a second!
We had Katherine watch our cat Bella for a weekend while we were away and we came home to a very happy healthy kitty. Katherine made sure to keep us in the loop on her visits and sent us pics and updates on how Bella was doing. She also made sure to spend time playing and brushing Bella, which I really appreciate, since I know she gets lonely when we’re away. We will definitely be asking her to watch Bella for us again!
Katherine was accommodating, responsive, and experienced. We had her watch our excitable pitbull, Leah, the night of our wedding and she came to pick her up at the venue. We forgot to bring her food and Katherine said no problem and cooked Leah a nutritious meal. This was our first time using a sitter and Katherine made us feel at ease. We will definitely be having her watch Leah again soon!
Katherine responds very quickly to all requests. She is smart, attentive, has great energy and loves dogs.

I’d like to know if they are reactive and to what, how their leash works, what treats or toys are appropriate for redirection, and if there are any health or behavioral quirks (ex. Likes to eat trash, is allergic to grass).
A typical day
I like to assess what a dog needs from me, and do my best to give them what that is. whether that’s a quiet street or a brisk jog or ten minutes to sniff at a lamp post.

Availability
My work and school load varies from week to week, but generally Friday through Monday I work from home so I’m pretty available. For boarding, I generally get up around 7, morning walk, then breakfast. A walk around lunch time and a walk around 5 or 6, and a final potty break.
