I have a warm heart for cold noses!

Pet care experience

I have 3+ years experience in house sitting multiple dogs at a time (for up to a week+). I have experience in potty training puppies, drop in visits, and have worked with dogs of all shapes/sizes (for example, I have worked with dogs ranging from Shih Tzus to Great Danes). I am very attentive to my client's needs as well as the pet's needs- I have performed tasks such as giving daily medications, baths, and nail clippings. No task is too small when taking care of your pet. Overall I have 6+ years of dog care experience through neighbors and through referrals. My favorite thing to do is take dogs on walks and engage in lots of play. I will be caring, patient and attentive with your fur baby to make sure they are well loved while you're gone. I also will not hesitate to call you if there are any issues or questions with the caring of your pet. Their safety is paramount to me!

This was the first time we used Katherine and we definitely look forward to using her the next time. The house looked exactly how we left it. The pups were good and healthy (had an issue once with bad diarrhea when we got back). She sent daily updates and pictures. She did everything we do when we are home so they wouldn't miss us much.

Katherine has cared for my pets several times when I have traveled for work or leisure. She goes above and beyond to make sure both my dogs and cats are loved and cared for as I would care for them while I am away. She takes extra time to play with each of my dogs and is sure to make sure they get all the pets they deserve while I am away. She is a great caretaker for my pets and I wouldn't want anyone else to watch my pets.

I highly recommend letting Katherine walk your dog or take care of your pet. She is a very responsible individual who is trustworthy, caring, and reliable! I would let her take care of my pets any day! Book with Katherine and she will not disappoint you!

I have no dogs at my current home (sadly). I have a local dog park to give your fur baby some company, as well a great grassy walking areas. I have had a dog and cat in the past (those are the ones in the pictures) and so I will treat your fur baby like my own. I am passionate about animals and so I want to make sure your pet gets the best treatment there is! 👩🏼‍⚕️ I am certified in CPR and am currently enrolled in a healthcare graduate program. I am comfortable responding to emergencies! I am very watchful for warning signs of distress from your pet and will alert you/take the next appropriate steps of care for your pet’s safety.

Information Katherine Y. would like to know about your pet

⭐️Meeting you and your pooch ⭐️ When you request to book with me, I want to make sure I give your dog the best care there is. Before caring for your pet, it is important to schedule a meetup (if possible) so that we can establish a relationship and help your pet to become comfortable. This time is also important so that we can go over each thing your pet needs daily and establish their routine. Some things I would discuss as well is your dog's boundaries regarding play, meeting other dogs, and towards other people. Whether your dog is friendly or shy, I want make your pet as comfortable as possible with me.

A typical day

I love walks! When meeting your dog, I will ask if there are any favorite places that your pooch likes to go and we can make it happen. Grassy walks are my favorite as there are more places for them to sniff and explore, but if your dog likes to be more social then I can take them to the park as well! I will not tug/pull on walks as sniffing can be mentally stimulating for your dog- I will also make sure your dog gets the appropriate amount of exercise they need. ?Have a dog that needs more than a walk?? I love to run as well! I can take your pet on a 20-30 minute run (with stops for water breaks of course) if they have a little more energy than the average pooch. I am equally happy to take it slower with beloved senior dogs who just need some fresh air outside.

I currently am in graduate school, so I am available in the mornings around 7am and after 5pm every day to drop by. I am most free on the weekends for extended play and walks. Away time ⏰😴 I will be away from my phone from the hours of 8pm-8am and may not respond right away if I get a request within those hours. However, if I am watching your dog/cat I will be attentive to my phone for any of your texts and for updates! Otherwise, I will respond to requests in a punctual manner so that we can get services set up together. ⭐️Special requests⭐️ If you feel like your beloved pet needs a little more time than what Rover offers, feel free to reach out and we can adjust together. For example, if you want more than a 30 minute walk but less than an hour, let's talk about it! I am flexible as your pet deserves the best care there is.
